Exhibit: Rupani Pathiranage In-Person
Rupani Pathiranage is a passionate artist, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned her bachelor's degree in fine arts from Kelaniya University, Sri Lanka, where she was influenced by pristine nature, and began her journey as an artist. After graduating she worked as a textile designer for two leading Sri Lankan textile manufacturers. The journey with creative artwork got halted for a while since the life events took her to various places across the world, but her inner self that seeks for contentment in creativity led her to start painting again. Her work has been exhibited in Ohio a few times in the past three years. This free thinker creates abstract and modern art that depicts nature and the human body and mind, using a wide range of styles. Each piece of her artwork consists of brush strokes and colors that reflect her inner thoughts. Rupani’s self-inspired artwork speaks a unique, universal language.
