SUMMARY:Sashiko Embroidery
DESCRIPTION:Discover first-hand the beauty of Sashiko embroidery with local
crafter\, Ana Baller. Originating in rural Japan during the Edo period\,
Sashiko (which means “little stabs”) was first used to reinforce and
repair clothing. Today\, it is celebrated worldwide for its elegant
geometric patterns\, rhythmic stitching\, and mindful\, meditative process.
This embroidery technique focuses on the beauty of tight threads\, avoiding
knots when plausible to create gorgeous and unique patterns. You will
create an embroidered coaster to take home. All levels of embroidery
experience are welcome. \n\nThis program is also offered on April 15th.
Please only register for one date.\n\nCancellation Policy: Cancel at least
24 hours in advance. Repeated no-shows result in a two-month registration
suspension. Arriving 15 minutes late counts as a no-show and you will not
 be admitted.\n\nAges 18
