Uncorked In-Person

Unwind with a glass of wine and a lively book discussion. Join us as we discuss A Spell for Drowning : A Novel by Rebecca Ferrier.

Forgotten sirens, mischievous sea gods, and the lore from days long since passed.

Perfect for fans of Circe and The Bear & The Nightingale. Inspired by Cornish folklore, this novel follows Kensa after she discovers a dying sea beast and claims the position of apprentice to the local wise woman, Isolde. However, to become a wise woman means to be alone, unmarried, childless, and relied upon. So when Isolde falls ill, Kensa resorts to seeking help from the sea gods who guard the tides around her home and could very well destroy everything she holds dear.

Visit the front desk at Woodbourne to inquire about obtaining a book. Ages 18+.
