Safe Senior Surfing In-Person
"Safe Senior Surfing" is a cornerstone piece of GoCyber Collective's "Community First" initiative. We realize that while nation-state bad actors are targeting big business, hospitals, city governments and organizations to create chaos, individual citizens are also at risk.
Scams are rampant with bad actors using numerous paths to get to Seniors and drain their entire retirement. Seniors are an easy target and an extremely high-risk scam population. GoCyber is equipping Seniors with tools to spot scams and how to avoid them. Seniors will gain more confidence in SAFELY using technology, protecting their retirement and giving them peace of mind.
This program is intended for patrons aged 18 and above.
If you are unable to attend, please notify the library no fewer than 24 hours before the program. Repeated no-shows will result in a two-month suspension from program registration. Late arrivals (15 minutes after program start) will not be admitted and will count as a no-show.
