Social Security Disability 101 In-Person

Social Security Disability affects so many – in our own circles of friends and family, and beyond.  Please join Social Security Public Affairs Specialists Theresa Busher for an informative session on the nuts and bolts of the Social Security Disability Programs, both Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI aka SSD) and Social Security Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. This program will cover:

  • Updates to Contacting Social Security;
  • How to qualify for benefits;
  • Social Security’s Application process;
  • The medical disability determination under Social Security,
  • And much more!

If you are unable to attend, please notify the library no fewer than 24 hours before the program. Repeated no-shows will result in a two-month suspension from program registration. Late arrivals (15 minutes after program start) will not be admitted and will count as a no-show.
