Uncorked In-Person
Unwind with a glass of wine and a lively book discussion. Join us as we discuss Catalina by Karla Cornejo Villavicencio, a debut-to-fiction novel longlisted for the 2024 National Book Award for Fiction. When Catalina is admitted to Harvard, it feels like the fulfillment of destiny. A young girl who escaped Latin America and moved to Queens to be raised by undocumented grandparents, now one of the chosen. However, nothing is as simple as it seems. As a senior, she faces graduation like a ticking clock of doom. Can she save her family? Can she save herself? What does it mean to be saved?
