Social Security 101

Social Security 101 In-Person

America’s largest domestic program is here to protect the American public – you are never too old, nor too young, to learn about this foundation of your financial life. Join us as Social Security Public Affairs Specialist, Theresa Busher, shares Social Security essentials, including: retirement eligibility; early vs. late retirement options, and how work affects Social Security benefits; Spouse and Survivor benefits; using the my Social Security account; and Medicare A/B enrollment periods. The presentation will be followed by an open Q and A time.

If you are unable to attend, please notify the library no fewer than 24 hours before the program. Repeated no-shows will result in a two-month suspension from program registration. Late arrivals (15 minutes after program start) will not be admitted and will result in a no-show.
