Join Washington-Centerville Library and Town Hall Theater for Page 2 Screen Book Club! Each month participants will read a book and then meet at Town Hall Theater to watch the correlating movie. A discussion comparing the two will occur afterwards.

Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh

Played out against the snowy landscape of coastal New England in the days leading up to Christmas, young Eileen’s story is told from the gimlet-eyed perspective of the now much older narrator. Creepy, mesmerizing, and sublimely funny, in the tradition of Shirley Jackson and early Vladimir Nabokov, this powerful debut novel enthralls and shocks, and introduces one of the most original new voices in contemporary literature.

260 pages / R / 1h 36m

Copies of the book will be distributed at the June meeting or visit Centerville or Woodbourne Library's front desk to pick up yours. Participants are encouraged to read the book prior to attending the discussion.
